HighRoads buys Windy City's MHS Advisors

HighRoads Inc. of Woburn reports it has purchased MHS Advisors LLC, a boutique HR advisory firm based in Chicago, for an undisclosed amount. Once the acquisition of MHS Advisors is completed, the company's team is expected to become HighRoads'HR Advisory Services division and be housed in a new Chicago office to increase HighRoads' presence across the Midwest region. A company spokesperson said all active partners at MHS Advisors have joined HighRoads as part of the acquisition deal.
MHS Advisors specializes in helping organizations develop and evaluate HR service strategies.
Founded as IE-Engine Inc. in 1999, HighRoads changed its name in 2005. As HighRoads, the company expanded the features of its software from benefits procurement to human resources management, and moved to an on-demand delivery model. In June 2007, HighRoads took in $9 million in a Series C round of funding, bringing the total amount the private company has raised to $24.3 million.
