Hosts 1st Annual Customer Summit

F500 Customers Share Best Practices for Transforming HR Through Information

Boston (May 25, 2006) - Human Resources executives gathered last week at the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Fla., to share best practices in employee benefits and welfare management as part of the 1st Annual HighRoads Customer Summit. Their experiences in leveraging the power of internal information and external market forces set the agenda and the conference's theme, "Transforming HR through Information."

Customers from innovative companies including Ford, IBM, Honeywell, Toyota, Kraft, Florida Power and Light, and H-E-B Grocery, participated in sessions exploring strategies and tactics for navigating the increasing complexity of benefits management. Throughout the three-day event, attendees shared insight and practical advice on the power of information to reduce benefits costs, streamline processes, and maintain the ability to deliver high quality benefits to employees. The keynote presentation, "Global trends in Employee Benefits Management," was delivered by Robert Wesselkamper, practice director of Watson Wyatt's International Group.

"Our customers are true innovators in the field of human resource management - breaking the vicious cycle of rising healthcare costs and shrinking benefits for their organizations," said Michael Byers, chief operating officer of High Roads. "They understand the value of information, visibility and accuracy in helping them achieve their vision and we're honored to play a role in their efforts."

In interactive sessions, attendees shared case studies based on their own unique experiences with HighRoads' Benefits Lifecycle Management solution. Even as healthcare costs rise in the double-digits each year, HighRoads' customers - just a sampling of the more than 100 automotive, retail, manufacturing and government organizations that use the HighRoads' solution - save at least 4-6 percent annually on overall contract costs. The peer-to-peer exchanges highlighted not only the hard dollar savings, but also the immeasurable value of available time and resources that can be invested in more strategic initiatives.

Information Fixes the Broken Model of Benefits Management

HighRoads' Benefits Lifecycle Management approach eliminates highly inefficient paper-based and departmentalized HR processes and transactions to streamline the entire process - sourcing, negotiating, communicating and managing health and welfare benefits. Technology-based workflow brings the requests-for-proposal (RFP) online to create a transparent and competitive bidding environment, proven to deliver immediate reductions in contract costs. Plan information is collected electronically, supporting apples-to-apples evaluations and establishing the foundation for ongoing management, tracking and communication. This collaborative platform supports informed decision-making across multiple plans and processes, and enables employers to provide the highest quality of employee health and welfare benefits at substantially lower costs.

HighRoads' industry embraced platform enables collaboration among over 100 of the leading Fortune 1000 companies, more than 500 benefits carriers, suppliers, brokers and consultants to provide a complete solution that can deliver rapid ROI.
