HighRoads Wins MITX Technology Award

Recognized for Innovation in Solving HR Struggle with Benefits Costs

BOSTON (June 12, 2006) ~ HighRoads, the company driving high quality healthcare benefits at significantly lower costs for Fortune 500 organizations, took best-in-class for human resource applications at last week's 3rd Annual MITX Technology Awards.

"The MITX Technology Awards celebrate innovation in our community and confirm that great technologies for building digital businesses are being created in New England," said Kiki Mills, executive director of MITX. "This year's honorees competed against more nominees than ever before and are very deserving of the recognition these awards bestow."

HighRoads helps many of the world's largest manufacturers, retailers and government agencies overcome a highly pressing challenge in today's marketplace: the rise in healthcare costs. Its benefits lifecycle management (BLM) technology automates the procurement and management of employee benefits driving down overall healthcare contract costs 4-6 percent annually and opening the doors to more accessible, comprehensive plan offerings, without sacrificing quality levels.

"Massachusetts is one of the biggest technology hotbeds in the world, and we're honored by this recognition," said Paul Daoust, chairman and CEO of HighRoads. "We wouldn't have gotten to this point without our customers, who have been a testament to proving one of the most robust business challenges can be overturned by technology."

The awards were presented at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, as part of a ceremony attended by 200 of the region's top technology and business professionals. The MITX What's Next Forum & Technology Awards are sponsored by Backbone Media, Lewis PR, Nixon Peabody LLP, Oracle and Technology Review.
